MoonPorcelain is based in Dingle, County Kerry on the Wild Atlantic Way. Susanne Mooney creates beautiful, translucent porcelain lamps and night lights. Like a Harvest Moon they give a warm, subtle glow as the light shines through the fine porcelain clay. These elegant pieces are all 100% handcrafted, thrown on the pottery wheel and hand finished

About Susanne

Many moons ago I moved to Ireland from Germany and worked as a production pottery thrower in a number of potteries. I gained great experience in working with a variety of clays, but I was always drawn to working with porcelain clay. I love the texture, the smooth feel of the clay and the finish of the product

Our cottage has 2 MoonPorcelain lamps that have turned the cottage from a cave into a cocoon. The cut outs on the lamps send out light onto the walls making the space really cosy. In the kitchen we have a MoonPorcelain hanging vase that is filled with cut flowers. The pieces are made with love and care, the lamps are so fine the light glows from them. We are replacing our salt lamps with MoonPorcelain lamps as the bulbs keep blowing with the salt. I would highly recommend Moonporcelain as Susanne is a gifted artist with a keen eye for beauty
